The Eagles and Jets will face off this Sunday at Metlife Stadium in an intense season changing game for the Eagles playoff hopes.

Some key players for the Eagles are Devonta Smith, Darius Slay, Jalen Hurts, Dallas Godert, and Miles Sanders. You can expect these players to make game changing plays and definitely shift the momentum of the game in their favor. Some key players for the Jets are Quinnen Williams, C.J. Mosley, Mekhi Becton, Corey Davis, Elijah Moore, and Marcus May. The Jets defense is beginning to look promising with the return of some of their stars from recent injuries, so you can expect them to step in and lead them to prevent the Eagles offense from creating some sparks. Along with their receiving core who is going to have to pick up so slack with the Jets starting running back Michael Carter who is on the Injured Reserve list.

Eagles Receiver Jalen Reagor after dropping some huge game changing catches in last week's Giants game considers those very, “uncharacteristic” and explains that he is better than what we saw in last weeks game, and knows that he is going to have to step in up if he wants the Eagles to win this upcoming sunday.

“It’s not on Jalen Reagor. It’s on me,” Hurts said. Hurts plays a huge leader role on this Eagle team and wants to pick up Reagor for this up and coming game against the Jets, because he knows the talent he possesses and knows he will be a game changer for the team in the future.

According to Brian Costello from the New York Post Saleh said, “I saw that. That’s history.” This was Saleh’s reaction to the Jets 0-11 record against the Eagles since 1973. However Saleh does not seem phased, explains that it is in the past, and knows that his team needs to focus on what's going on now and not the past.

You can expect the Jets to send a lot of passes this sunday, with all the injuries the Eagles have been dealing with in their weak secondary. For the Eagles you can expect to see a lot of blitzes to try and pressure Wilson forcing him to make quicker decisions causing more mistakes with the Jets weak Offensive line.

With all the obstacles it seems like the Jets have to face this season, there are many strengths they hold, like their Receiving core which is beginning to look promising with rookie Elijah Moore having some recent amazing games, for instance his 8 rec, 141 yd, and touchdown game against the Dolphins bringing his team close when it mattered most. Along with young defensive stars Quinnen Williams who helped play a leadership role for the Jets defense. However as most of us probably know, the Jets do have their fair share of holes in their lineup. For example Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson who is just coming off the injured list, and expected to help lead his team to some wins this season with the little to no experience he has in the NFL. The Jets are also lacking some more young and inexperienced cornerbacks, which could potentially be a problem against the Eagles receiving core if they can manage to catch fire.

Although the Eagles are also facing a losing 5-7 record at the moment they can look forward to their young quarterback who has been in the starting role for around a year now, and don’t be surprised if this man sneaks into the Eagles franchise Quarterback for the future. Aside Hurts is the Eagles strong offensive line, helping give Hurts some of the success he has been having the last two seasons. In company with the rest of this Eagles offense are their running backs who are heavily contributing and are picking up a lot of slack from their receivers in these last couple weeks. But like any other team, the Eagles have plenty of holes to fill, like their very inconsistent receiving core. Besides Smith, the Eagles receiving core is very inconsistent and you could even say they have cost the Eagles some valuable wins they will need down the road. Accompanied by their slow and inconsistent defense. Their cornerbacks are a concern and have had little production from them this season. Aside from Slay carrying the load for his fellow corners. For the struggle of this defense this surely doesn’t help either with one of their starting Safeties out for the season with a torn ACL, putting tons of pressure on the offense.

After a devastating 13-7 loss to their division rival New York Giants Hurts explains,.

“I put us in a bad situation, I put us in a bad situation with um with those turnovers.” As he reflects on the 4 turnovers he had in that game and knows he has to be better, he knows to blame anyone else on that team would be wrong. 3 interceptions will never get the job done.

Recapping from last week the Jets have something to look forward to beating the Texans 21-14 and getting Wilson his first career road win in his journey.

“There's no excuses you know you got to be able to come out and play well.” Wilson says in his press conference after the Houston game. Wilson had 1 interception, but he didn’t let it get to him rushing for a touchdown and leading his team to a win, and as a Jet fan you have to love this confidence from your young Quarterback.

Although the Eagles had a disappointing 20-21’ season finishing 4-11-1, they are looking to try and sneak into the playoffs this year making this next game just that much more important to them. With the Eagles being 5-7 and this point in the season this is looking like a must win game for the birds if they want a chance at a shot in the playoffs.

For the Jets you could say this is a rebuilding year, as if it doesn’t seem like this for the last two to three years, midway through the season at 3-8, but with what they got they have a lot to look forward too and could definitely put up a good fight against a hungry Eagles team looking for some hope.
