The Falcons got a huge win against the 4-3 Kittatinny Cougars 35-13 on Saturday morning giving them a chance to still clinch the playoffs.
Morell Young had a significant part in Jefferson taking home the victory with two touchdowns. Before the game, Thomas Young had this to say, “I think that we'll win and it will be a good game.” Although the predictions had the Falcons losing Saturday's game, Jefferson proved them wrong destroying the Cougars. In fact, Young was correct and the players were outstanding giving Kittatinny no chances to score. Morell Young struck first, running one in for six and Michael Bencivengo made the PAT after putting the Falcons up 7-0. Eisele then scored, giving Jefferson a 14-0 lead. Becivengo also played a huge part drilling the extra points in to help secure the win. Peter Deleportas then connects with Travis Osterhout for a huge play and the touchdown. This put the Falcons up 21-0 with around four minutes left in the half.
The Falcons came out of half time fired up which led Rory Coyle to score from a pass by Deleportas to put the Falcons up by four scores in the third quarter. Then to seal the deal, Young ran in his second touchdown of the game to get the Falcons their fifth touchdown of the game. The Cougars did score two touchdowns in the second half but it was not enough and the Falcons took an on the road win at Kittatinny to advance them to 3-5 and most importantly keep them in the rankings for playoffs.
