With Daniel Jones hurt, the Giants offense may be questionable against the Miami Dolphins, who are coming off a four game winning streak.

Jones is out after a neck injury during the Giants matchup against the Eagles. Mike Glennon, Jones' backup, is expected to start in his place. The Giants had six players out total including Adoree’ Jackson, Sterling Shepard, Oshane Ximines, Wes Martin, and Kadarius Toney.

On the other hand, the Dolphins Jaylen Waddle caught nine passes for 137 yard and a TD while Jaelan Philips had three sacks this past week against the Carolina Panthers. They had a rough start but now have a four-game winning streak. It looks like they have found themselves and found what works for them.

Pat Leonard, the Giants writer for the Daily News stated, “The Giants can’t win this game if the offense doesn’t score touchdowns. That will be tough with Mike Glennon facing a blitz-happy Fins [Dolphins] D.”

Since the Giants defensive line is not good at stopping the run, the Dolphins will take advantage of that to run the ball a lot. They will look for a lot of short routes and screens. If the Dolphins want to get their best receiver, Waddle, involved they will have to rely on the short passing game because Waddle will be primarily covered by Giants Pro-Bowl, James Bradberry, who held Waddle former Alabama team mate and Heisman winner Devonta Smith to only two receptions for 22 yards last week. The Giants play conservatively because of the fact that Jones is out.

Even with a four game win streak, the Dolphins had a terrible start to the season. Tua Tagovailoa has looked great recently, completing at least 80% of his passes, but he looked lost at the beginning of the season and threw poorly executed passes which turned into interceptions. This game will most likely come down to which Tagovailoa we see and which defense can cause more turnover especially with the absence of  Jones.

The Giants defense has gotten at least one forced turnover in each of their last 13 games. The Giants have not been playing well the past few seasons. Despite the fact that the Giants beat the surging Eagles last week, it is hard to see them beating the Dolphins with the mounting list of injuries they have sustained.

The Giants are 7-9 all time against the Dolphins but their performance has gone down the past few seasons.

Overall the Dolphins have one more win over the Giants this season. The Dolphins are 5-7 in the season and they have won three out of the six games they have played at home. The Giants are 4-7 and have only won one out of the five games played on the road.
