Giants quarterback Daniel Jones sitting out with a neck injury caused Mike Glennon to struggle under center, losing 20-9 against the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

Losing a must win game caused Giants fans to lose remaining playoff hope. Yet slight hope still has the chance to be salvaged, the biggest step is to beat an in-division rival, the Cowboys. In order to win the upcoming game against the Cowboys, the Giants need to bounce back.

Starting on defense with former first round pick Dexter Lawrence holding down the defensive line. Another former first round pick, Adoree' Jackson, and ESPN top 100 player James Bradberry will have to hold down the Giants secondary with help from Walter Peyton Man of The Year nominee, Logan Ryan. Ryan offered his services as the emergency quarterback by saying in a post game interview, “I don't know if you guys saw my high school quarterback tape, but I'm going to put it out there, emergency,” according to The News & Observer. According to NorthJersey.com Ryan also took a shot at Dolphins quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, by saying “a lot like Tua, a lefty, I can throw two-yard passes to the left.”

Hopefully the injury riddled Giants don’t have to come to this point and first round picks Jones and Kadarius Toney play against the Cowboys. To get the Giant's another win former first round pick Saquon Barkley will have to show why he won Rookie of the Year in 2018 and put up big numbers against the Cowboys to help open up the passing game against a strong Cowboys secondary.

Coming off a dysfunctional win against the Saints, former Rookie of the Year Dak Prescott will have to find his groove with his first round picks in Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper who combined for 130 receiving yards with nine receptions. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, Cooper said “they’re my teammates, we have each other's backs through whatever situation arises.” Expect lots of runs from first round pick Eziekiel Elliot under the Mike McCarthy offense until Dak can get back into a rhythm. Until then the defense will have to hold up with first round pick Micah Parsons and interception leader Trevon Diggs.

On December 19 at 1 pm in Metlife Stadium the Cowboys will take on the Giants. A rivalry dating back to the 60s the Cowboys have the better record with 70-47-2. With the Cowboys having a better record than the Giants in the past and currently, they are projected to win the game.
