Jefferson Township High School Junior, Abby Cooper, got a total of six hits in only three games. She is solid at the plate, and at her primary position, third base. Cooper is an all around great player and teammate. She fits perfectly on her club softball team, The Rebelz. The Rebelz play every other weekend or every two weekends. Cooper is also one of the captains on the Rebelz, she shows team leadership and hard work, which is why they chose her to be a captain. In the interview, Cooper said, “I also got a couple doubles in my last tournament.” She contributed to the team with her great hits and solid fielding. Cooper's main strength is her hitting. She will go up in a position where the team needs runs and will knock them in. Her main weakness is slower pitching, most of the time you will see faster pitching in 18u, but sometimes there will be pitchers that are hard to time. The Rebelz coaches handle playing time well, everyone will get the chance to play but you have to show that you want to be there to earn your spot. Cooper is looking forward to playing in the summer because they get to travel and might be going to Ohio. By the next season, the team wants to win a tournament they compete in.
