Dolphins fight back from a 10-0 deficit to keep their SIX game win streak alive as they beat the Jets 31-24 in Miami and sweep the series 2-0.

The Jets start hot as Zach Wilson marches down field going 5/5 for 55 yards and finishes off the first drive with a Braxton Berrios 2 yard touchdown. The very next play Tua Tagovailoa was intercepted by Ashton Davis as Tagovailoa was looking for Mike Gesicki over the middle. The Jets can’t capitalize on the play and are forced to kick a 27 yard field goal made by Eddy Pineiro. Dolphins start with Tagovailoa hitting Parker for a 37 yard gain. Duke Johnson ends the drive with a 1 yard rushing touchdown. Van Grinkel helps the Jets by getting called for roughing the passer which leads to a Wilson 1 yard rushing Touchdown. Dolphins drive down the field with Sanders making a 24 yard FG to end the first half, 17-10 Jets.

Dolphins start off the second half with a big play from Ford for a 27 yard gain. Duke Johnson finished off drive with a 6 yard TD run. The Fins defense is looking hot as they stop the Jets and force a punt, which would then lead to them driving down the field and ending with a Dolphin touchdown. Dolphins defense stays on fire as Sieler gets a strip sack on Wilson to give them the ball at their own 39 yard line. Jets defense battles back as Fejedelem fumbles and Rankins recovers on the MIA 45. The Jets can’t do anything with the turnover and are forced to punt. On the third play of the Dolphins drive, Togavailoa threw a pick-six to Brandin Echols to tie it up 24-24. Togavailoa fights back after the interception to lead the Dolphins offense down field and finish with a 11 yard touchdown to Davante Parker to close out a win for the Dolphins, 31-24.

The Jets lost a key player to their secondary with safety Elijah Reilly having to be carted off the field with what looked like to be a neck injury. Jets standout left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker has been diagnosed with a pectoral strain and is day to day. Although the Dolphins got lucky and gained no injuries on the day.

Wilson was asked if he feels he is starting to become more comfortable in a postgame interview on youtube, “Yeah I felt this was my biggest game as far as just playing free. I felt like just having that roof of mentality, scramble around, make some guys miss. Just play free and react to what the defense is giving us and we did some things that we weren’t expecting and you just gotta try and make some plays out of it so I feel this was one of the biggest games for me just playing free.”

Tagovailoa has been playing some unbelievable ball these last couple weeks. He leads the NFL in completion rate and fastest to deliver the football since week 13. He continued it today by going 16-27 with 196 yard and 2 TDs. Duke Johnson is the key to the Dolphins win today totalling 107 yards with 2 touchdowns.

The Jets secondary played very well against Tagovailoa, with 2 interceptions by Ashtin Davis and Brandon Echols, with Echols being a pick-six. Wilson has not been himself lately with today's game being 13-23 for 170 yards. The bright side for the day for Wilson is this is his second consecutive game without an interception, which is the first time this season he has done this.

Concluding this game the Dolphins sweep the Jets 2-0 this year and move to a 7-7 record. With the Jets loss, they moved to a 3-11 record. The Dolphins have beaten the Jets 7 of the last 8 times, including their 5 game win streak against the Jets. The Dolphins started the season 1-7, and have now won 6 straight to move to a record of 7-7.
