One of the biggest rivalries in the history of the NFL was played on Sunday, Cowboys vs. Giants, where the Cowboys proved why they lead the division.

The New York Giants hosted the Dallas Cowboys in a divisional game Sunday, 12/19/21. This game was played at Metlife Stadium.

The Dallas Cowboys had an amazing game. Quarterback Dak Prescott, threw for 217 yards and a single touchdown. Ezekiel Elliot, Cowboy’s running back, rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown. The Dallas tight end, Dalton Schultz also showed up with eight receptions, 67 yards, and one touchdown. Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, had another interception to bring his total up to 10 interceptions on the season, truly impressive. The New York Giants did not perform well and the main statistic from them was Mike Glennon, where he threw three interceptions. When the Giants starting quarterback was asked about the game, ''Self-inflicted wounds,'' said Glennon (CBS Sports).

Both of the Cowboys running backs have been dealing with injuries throughout the weeks. For the Giants, QB1 Daniel Jones has been out due to injury. These two teams' rivalry caused a lot of unsportsmanlike conduct causing a lot of yards to be lost.

The Cowboys defense has proved to be no joke after today's game. They played very well against the run game going against star Saquon Barkely. The pass defense was even better after securing three interceptions. When interviewed after the game, “It's definitely frustrating, as I said, the defense is doing a great job giving us the ball, giving us the ball in plus territory, and we've got to find a way to get it in the end zone,'' Prescott said (CBS Sports). The Giants showed a weak defense, a bad run game, and three interceptions from Glennon.

After this game the Cowboys improved to 10-4, while the Giants went to 4-10. These two teams won’t face off until next year's season.
