MEET MIA MAGNOTTA

Jefferson Township High School Junior, Mia Magnotta has made a career out of playing field hockey for the high school, club teams, and hopefully one day in the future at a college club team. “I got into field hockey in eighth grade at the school’s field hockey club and I really liked it” Magnotta said. She has been pursuing it ever since. Magnotta is currently playing as a forward and has been playing forward since her freshman year. This season Magnotta scored her first Varsity goal and has been improving a lot. This year the team’s weaknesses are that their communication is not the strongest and at times their sticks are down, the team’s strengths this year is their speed and ability to hit the ball up the field. “The team has improved a lot from the beginning of the season” Magnotta said.
