THE POKEMON COMPANY UNEXPECTEDLY RELEASES TWO NEW GAMES OVER A 3 MONTH SPAN

The pokemon company is releasing early next year a new style of game for their franchise in particular.  

The game will be more of an open world run area instead of the typical can only go certain places like straight to the gym/trial and only stop to train and fill the pokedex. There is not really any clear indication of whether or not there will be any sort of gym battle or Pokémon league yet. Another very important thing to note is that there will be certain Pokémon with a dark aura emanating around them and how will you be able to heal them by battling and potentially catching and will there be a special part of the dex just for that classification of Pokémon.

There will be more features than just an open world like being able to ride Pokémon like soar through the sky with the regional variant of breviary and or skim on water with the regional exclusive basculin. This new feature is not new because in the game Lets Go Eevee and Pikachu, you can fly on the backs of Pokémon as well as in the ruby and sapphire remakes with the soar feature and with the surfing technic and it has been in every Pokémon game since red and blue but the ability to ride on a regional variant Pokémon especially one that's never been in the game before 

There is a new way to catch Pokémon: you can sneak up on other Pokémon in the area and throw a pokeball and or you can try and catch it the traditional way with battling to lower hp and then throw the ball in order to make an attempt to catch it. There are a few different ways to actually catch and level Pokémon up of which is battling other Pokémon and defeating it which is where you just lower the health of the opposing Pokémon down to 0. There is another way and that is the catch method which means you lower the opposing Pokemon's health to make it easier to catch with one of the many types of pokeballs.

  There will be Pokémon that are exclusive to the region as regional variants featuring some  fan favorites like growlithe and zorua. Ever since the alola region there has been some Pokémon that get forms that are exclusive to that region which means it can only be found in that region like gen seven or alola you can find and alolan variant of meowth or rattata and in gen eight or galar you can find regional variants of Zigzagoon or ponyta. These regional variants change not just the look but the type whether it completely changes one or both of the types.

The only downside is that it may not be what everyone was expecting because with pictures that were released of the game map it looks like the land may resemble the dlc and wild area for Pokémon sword and shield. Every Game has its ups downs so far there have been many upsides but one downside to notice is that the map may not be what the fans want it to be because it looks like there can and most will likely be limitations and it will not be the open world game the fans were expecting it to be.

This game is very exciting because of how early in the year it releases and how close it is to the release of the much anticipated sinnoh remakes that were released in mid November. This game releases close to the end of January. Which is not Pokémons usual forte because they usually release in November except for the Pokémon snap remakes which released in April and January is the earliest release for a Pokémon game yet and it will release right when the hype for sinnoh remakes(brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl) should die down a bit and that is the perfect time to come out swinging with another major game release. The possible reason is because it is not a main series game like Pokémon sword and shield or brilliant diamond and shining pearl. What Pokémon fan David Devries had to say about the games releasing early was that thinks, “it is not too soon for a new Pokémon game because it is different from the game released in November as well as since it is different it will not negatively affect the sales.” The excitement for the game will not die down so soon has stated by Devries he is, “excited to see if his son Aiden will get the game so he can play it along with him.”
