MEET VICTOR RIVERA

    Jefferson Township High School Senior, Victor Rivera III, will take his leadership skills to the next level while out on the baseball field of his 2022 season. Rivera sees himself as a leader for the underclassmen. With his sophomore year being a Covid year, the incoming freshman and sophmores have never played together. When asked what his goals for this season were, Rivera said, “To definitely win games.” Covid had caused many downfalls for all spring sports but it had also brought good things. For 2021 Juniors and Seniors, they have the opportunity to go to community college and play as a college Freshman. For the Falcons, Rivera said that the new rule will have a major impact on the team as fifth years, Michael Novak and Jason Taylor will come back, bringing a large amount of potential. Rivera hopes to pursue collegiate baseball and business in the next four years.
