MEET SOFIA CORDOBA

    Sofía Cordoba talks about the highs and lows of working at Walmart, including people who steal. Starting last summer, Cordoba worked at the Walmart in Newton. Shifts consisted of working the register, which she doesn’t enjoy, and pushing carts, which is her favorite thing to do. When talking about the job itself Cordoba says, “Working at Walmart has its ups and downs.” She enjoys the pay but doesn’t enjoy the tasks associated with it. Cordoba feels the worst part about her job is catching customers who try to steal. She explained that most of the time she lets other employees handle it but when she deals with it, her approach is asking them politely if they paid for it. Cordoba has a lot of ups and downs but she continues to show resilience and work through the struggles of her job.
