Jefferson Township High School Sophomore, Emily Poulas, has made a career out of playing basketball for club, the high school, and hopefully college one day in the future. Poulas started playing basketball in kindergarten and grew a strong passion for the sport ever since. Poulas’ freshman year was a little different than expected, COVID caused the high school season to be shortened but Poulas made the most of it. During her freshman year, Poulas scored 86 points for the Falcons and scored a personal high of 12 points against Sparta. “It was a really great feeling to have the opportunity to play with and against such talented players,” Poulas said. Poulas really got the Falcons going in the second half by hitting four threes to get the team back into a two-point game. Poulas will continue to make a big impact for the Falcons in the 2021 season and their run for states.
